They met in Vienna, though their roots couldn’t be more different. She is from Mexico, he is from Belgium. Thanks to a touch of chance, or maybe destiny, their paths crossed four years ago. Since then, they have built a story together filled with movement, laughter, and shared adventures.

To celebrate their anniversary, they decided to capture this moment in time through a photo session with me. Both are very active, passionate about sports and the outdoors, so they wanted a day that felt free and natural, away from the city noise.

We met in Vienna, in the beautiful hills of Kahlenberg, surrounded by green vineyards stretching towards the horizon. The summer sun was kind to us that day, offering a warm and generous light that painted everything gold. We started when the sun was high, followed it as it softened into the golden hour, and ended with a sunset that filled the sky with violet tones.

The Danube lay below us, calm and endless, a quiet reminder that some things, like their love, never stop flowing. Between laughter, small gestures, and quiet moments, the camera simply followed what was already there, a genuine connection, effortless and real.

Thank you, Karen and Florian, for letting me be part of this chapter. I am happy that my photographs now live with you and your families, carrying pieces of that summer day in Vienna.
